 5. Does DS College provide White Card training?

A. Yes. DS College delivers CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card) training. The White Card is a mandatory requirement for individuals seeking to work on construction sites in Australia.

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment requirements, eligible participants can apply for their White Card in accordance with the relevant state requirements.

6.Can I work on a construction site without a White Card?

No. A valid White Card is generally required before a person can enter or work on most construction sites in Australia. DS College provides White Card training to help students meet this requirement.

7.Are DS College qualifications nationally recognised?

Yes. All qualifications issued by DS College are nationally recognised and accepted throughout Australia.

8. Do you provide practical training?

Yes. DS College combines classroom learning with practical training to help students develop industry-relevant skills.

9. Can I receive Credit Transfer (CT)?

Yes. Students who have completed equivalent nationally recognised units may be eligible for Credit Transfer.

10. What support services are available to students?

DS College provides academic support, learner assistance, welfare guidance and administrative support to assist students throughout their studies.

11. How do I apply for a course?

Students can contact our admissions team, or visit the campus directly for personalised assistance with course selection, eligibility requirements and the enrolment process.

12.Are payment plans available?

Yes, fee can be paid in installments. Please contact DS College to discuss available fee payment options and arrangements.

13. What is the Construction Aptitude Test (CAT)?

The Construction Aptitude Test (CAT) is designed to help prospective students assess their suitability for construction-related courses. The test evaluates basic aptitude, problem-solving ability, interest in the construction industry and readiness for vocational training.

Students may also be considered for scholarship opportunities based on their CAT performance and eligibility criteria.

14. Does DS College offer scholarships based on academic performance and attendance?

Yes. DS College offers Course Progress Monitoring Scholarships to eligible students who demonstrate strong academic performance and commitment to their studies.

Students who:

  • Attend all scheduled classes,
  • Submit assessments on time,
  • Achieve satisfactory academic progress, and
  • Are assessed as competent in all units during the first three terms,

may be eligible to apply for a scholarship in their fourth term, subject to the scholarship criteria and availability.

The scholarship program is designed to recognise and reward students who consistently demonstrate dedication, attendance and academic excellence throughout their studies.
